Lyft and Uber ride-shares can be requested and met at the main entrance outside of the lobby. There is also a stand located outside of the hotel for taxi services.

Orange Line: Millenium Station is 2 blocks from the hotel.

Red Line: Millenium Station is 2 blocks from the hotel.

The CTA operates the nation's second largest public transportation system and covers the City of Chicago and 38 surrounding suburbs.


AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

TO/FROM MIDWAY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MDW)

The Swissotel Chicago is approximately 12.8 miles (approximately 26 minutes) from Midway International Airport.


Lyft and Uber are available at Midway International Airport. In order to request a car, individuals will need to download the mobile app first. Pickup for ride-shares at Midway International Airport can be found on the Lower Level outside of Baggage Claim, Door 4.

Taxi stands are located on the lower-level curb front of the terminals, and taxis are available on a first come, first serve basis

Fares to the Swissotel Chicago are approximately $35.

Car Services are available for both City of Chicago and suburb destinations. Contact your company of choice to make reservations. You may also reference the list of pre-arranged car services provided at the Ground Transportation Information Booth located on the Baggage Claim level near carousel #4.

Midway International Airport offers a variety of options for vehicle rentals. Midway’s Rental Car Facility hosts all of its rental companies in one convenient location. It is located at 5150 W. 55th Street.

Rental Car pick-up is located at Lower Level Door #2. Shuttles operate 24/7 and are scheduled to run every 15 minutes.

There are a few different public transportation options that make Midway International Airport easily accessible. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is the most economical option. Passengers may also utilize the Pace Bus routes.

TO/FROM CHICAGO O’HARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ORD)

The Swissotel Chicago is approximately 17.7 miles (approximately 28 minutes) from O’Hare International Airport.


Lyft and Uber are available at O’Hare International Airport. In order to request a car, individuals will need to download the mobile app first. Pickup for ride-shares at O’Hare International Airport can be found in the following locations:

  • Terminal 2 – waiting area Upper Level between Door 2A and Door 2D
    • BLACK Zone A - Outside North of vestibule 2A
    • BLUE Zone B – Outside vestibule 2A
    • ORANGE Zone C – Outside vestibule 2B
    • GREEN Zone D – Outside vestibule 2D
  • Terminal 5 – waiting area Lower Level Door 5B. Uber Black will pick up on the Lower Level

There are taxi stands at the lower-level curb front (outside of Baggage Claim) at each terminal. Taxi service is available to Chicago and suburban destinations.

You may also reference the list of pre-arranged limousine services posted near the airport information booths across from Door C, located on the lower level of each terminal.

Travelers should board a consolidated, free, 24-hour shuttle from the Upper Level. The digital display on the bus will read: “Rental Cars / Parking Lot F”. Each terminal has designated areas for drop-off and pick-up. The shuttles will take passengers to O’Hare’s Multi-Modal Facility to the car rental desk to pick-up a vehicle. The MMF’s address is 10255 W. Zemke Blvd.

There are a few different public transportation options that make O'Hare International Airport easily accessible. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is the most economical option. Passengers may also utilize the Metra and Pace Bus routes.

  • CTA Blue Line - The CTA offers both train and bus service throughout the City of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. The trains in Chicago are known as the "L," and the Blue Line trains are the easiest and most affordable way to get to O'Hare via public transit.

    The Blue Line offers 24-hour service with more frequent service during weekday morning and evening rush hours. You can also connect to most other CTA lines through the Blue Line. With regularly scheduled arriving and departing trains, you will experience minimal wait times.

    Directions
    You can walk through the pedestrian tunnel from each domestic terminal to reach the station. Just follow the "Trains to City" on the overhead wayfinding signs. From Terminal 5, please take the free shuttle bus from the lower level (door 5E) marked "Terminal 1 follow the "Trains to City" on the overhead way finding signs. The CTA is located near elevator center 4 in the pedestrian tunnel.

  • Metra - Metra offers commuter train service throughout the Chicagoland area. Metra's North Central Service train line offers weekday service connecting downtown Chicago's Union Station to the north central suburbs, terminating at Antioch.

    Travelers coming from O'Hare International Airport terminals can use the O'Hare Transfer Station to access Metra's North Central Service trains to downtown or the suburbs.

    On the northeast side of O'Hare at Zemke and Mannheim Roads.

    Directions
    From the terminals: Take the airport shuttle bus marked "Metra" from the upper level of each domestic terminal or on the lower level of Terminal 5 (Door 5E) to the Metra Station. Additionally, you can take the shuttle bus at the rental car pick-up location on the lower level of each terminal to the Multi-Modal Facility and walk to the Metra station from there.
